WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
The purpose of notarising a document is so that the person who ultimately receives it can be confident that it has been properly signed and the person signing it has been identified either as an individual or (in the case of a company) by an authorised officer or director
At the appointment you will need to show evidence of your identity which, as a minimum, will be:
A current passport and evidence of your address eg photographic driving licence, a recent Council Tax bill, bank statement, utility bill.
If you are signing as a director, evidence of your appointment to office will need to be seen. This can usually be done by with a quick online search at Companies House but to speed the process up, it is helpful to know in advance of the meeting if you are signing as a director and on behalf of which company.
Copies of these identity documents and copies of the documents signed will be retained in Martin Silverman’s Notarial Register for record purposes. For this purpose he is registered under the Data Protection Act.
